🙋‍♀️ Frequently Asked Questions

🧬 What kind of stem cells are used?
We partner with clinics that use allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), typically sourced from ethically donated adult tissue and umbilical cord. These cells are known for their regenerative, anti-inflammatory, and immune-modulating properties.

💡 What are MSCs, and why are they effective?
MSCs are adult stem cells that don’t replace tissue directly—instead, they communicate with your body to reduce inflammation, promote healing, and support overall balance. They’re especially effective for joint issues, autoimmune support, and general rejuvenation.

📦 What is exosome therapy?
Exosomes are tiny messengers released by stem cells. They carry signals and growth factors that help reduce inflammation and promote healing. They can be used alone or alongside stem cells for enhanced results.

✅ Are these therapies safe?
Yes. All treatments are performed in fully licensed, accredited clinics with strict safety testing, sourcing, and experienced medical professionals.

👨‍⚕️ Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is required, but we recommend discussing your plans with your primary care provider beforehand.

💉 Will the treatment hurt?
Most therapies are delivered through IV infusions or small injections. They’re minimally invasive, with little to no downtime or discomfort.

🧳 Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely! Many guests travel with a friend or partner. Shared room options and personalized guest coordination are available.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Is the retreat family-friendly?
Yes! The town is great for families, with safe beaches and kid-friendly activities. While treatments are for adults, we can help plan fun options for guests of all ages.

🇨🇷 Is stem cell therapy legal in Costa Rica?
Yes. Stem cell therapy is legal and regulated in Costa Rica when performed by licensed medical professionals. We only refer guests to certified, vetted clinics.

🛂 Do I need a visa to travel?
Not usually. U.S. citizens can enter Costa Rica for up to 90 days without a visa.

🗣️ Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. Most clinic and hospitality staff speak fluent English—you’ll be well supported throughout your experience.

💳 Is this covered by insurance?
Generally no. Most U.S. insurance plans do not cover regenerative therapies, but we provide transparent pricing and options upfront.

💰 Are treatments included in the retreat package?
Treatments are not included in the base package. They are available à la carte and coordinated directly with our trusted medical partners.
